Sevilla was my favorite city so far. It was so beautiful and so many things to see and do. We got on the bus around 10am and drove to the Sevilla (about an hour and a half from Cordoba.)
The bus dropped us off in the center of town...and we went to visit La Catedral de Sevilla which is the third largest in the world! It was unbelievable. We went around the cathedral and looked at the various capillas (little areas of the cathedral that are built for people or families who donate money for the catedral to be built. In the back of the catedral is the tomb of Christopher Columbus. It actually only houses a little of his body because after his death it was passed around because everyone wanted a piece of him...ah! In the capilla cerca del Colon (Columbus) is a tribute to all of the countries that we discovered by Spain, all of the Americas. And on the cielo...flies the banderas of all the Americas that Spain founded...in the middle the American flag...there´s something about seeing that these days...the state of the world and being a young traveling American...it was a sight. We walked this huge cathedral for a couple hours and then we were aloud to walk around the cathedral on our own. And finally before we left we were climbed the tower! It was great...but I wish I had had my hydration pack! ha! It was 40 plus degrees celcius! It wasn´t bad and the view was well worth it! You could see out across the city...and just when we got to the top the bell rang...if you have never stood in the bell tower when it rings...you´re missin out! W

All the girls bought fans...they are soo cool...all the women carry them..they´re beautiful and perfect for the heat. I learned how to flip mine open with my fingers...really quickly...yes that´s what I do with my bus time!
After the cathedral we had some free time so we ran to the Plaza de España. On our horario it said that we were going to the cathedral and that they recomend that we visit the Plaza de España BUT when you are reading in spanish it´s easy to mess up the verbs and what we thought was recommend was actually reconviene. (my english is getting bad!) So we ran to the Plaza de España and it was so cool its this huge plaza with a giant water fountain in the middle...so we took a bunch of pictures and then ran back to the meeting place just in time to find out that hey we were heading the the Plaza de España! Ha! So we went back to the Plaza and got a tour so that was cool and we found out that the Plaza was built to recognize the relation and success of the Americas...and the moat that seperated the fountain from the surrounding buildings represents the ocean. It was a really neat place...we got back on the bus and went past the Torre de Oro where everyone leaving and coming back from the Americas had to go through! It was very cool but we were exhausted. We went back to Cordoba and went out that night...I will have to add the next section later because I need to do some studying before class!
