The West

Finally, we can make an entry. It has been sometime since we had decent internet access, or time to access it. We are now in Brandon. We have many pictures of the mountains and Tyrell museum and more but cannot upload them due to the internet terminal at the Days Inn here in Brandon does not allow us to do so - only web browsing. we will upload pics to show everyone our trip ASAP.

just as a quick recap we stayed at revelstoke the first night at the Best Western there, room 123. Very nice hotel. the mountains were majestic and breath taking.

past revelstoke we had tons of construction clearing away rockslides, very slow.

that next day we made it to Okotoks. calgary traffic was hell, almost many collisions. we stayed with Brice and Sandy (mooney) they prepared a wonderful meal for us and were fantastic hosts! we are also proud to say melissa and I were their first guests to enjoy their new hot tub!

the next stop was drummheller. the landscape was very interesting, tyrell was better. otherwise it was a terribly quaint hick red neck town we did not really enjoy. very expensive hotels.

then we stayed at moose jaw, went to the Al Capone tunnel tour and ate at an old haunted house in town. moose jaw was interesting and steeped in history. the tunnels were from the old prohibition days for smuggling whisky and holding guns, money and being a general safe house. we'd love to show you pictures but they were forbidden and I was watched very closely. I must have looked "suspicious".

now we are in brandon. nothing to say about here or 'Toba. flat and boring about sums it up. :-)
