Yet again the Loonies wake us up early - If one member had a shotgun, he reckoned today was the day to use it! While most relax around camp for the morning, I headed into town to see off my tent partner Katherine, who was leaving early to join another Trek tour. After a quick cuppa and having put her on the bus, we collected the rest of the group and headed for the Pacific Coast National Park to explore the beaches and walk the trails. Muggins here, ended up falling from the rocks into the Pacific while trying to get a photo of some starfish!! I think it was worth the fall though ;-)

Back to Tofino to do some sea kayaking around the islands of the bay for the afternoon. Again, we got up close and personal with the bald eagle family and paddled around learning about the natives and how they live on the islands. This is such a relaxing way to travel, but be prepared to get the odd blister on your thumbs and try not to kayak directly over those rocks lying just beneath the water surface... you don't want a hole in your boat when you're out in the open waters!!! Luckily, our boat escaped without damage... phew! Also, you will have to work those arms when you are leaving/returning to the dock as you've got to cross the main boat channels... best to avoid a collison with them I think!

Back to camp to shower and then dry off around the campfire. However, it decided to rain, so we never really did dry off fully!
