No trip to the north is complete without Nkhata Bay

Loved this place when I was a PCV.  Love it still.  It just keeps getting better and better and makes you want to stay longer and longer.  Malawi is seriously an untapped source with tourism potential.  However, I am enjoying it immensely without the mass tourists!  Enjoy it before it gets tainted!  Malawi needs to tourism and any other ways to help it with its terrible poverty.  See why these people are so wonderful and worth knowing.  You will love your trip to Malawi!
