Arriving at the city at Dec 30 night, thanks to Tesa's uncle for driving us long way from Osna to Dortmund.. Especially for the KFC treat ya om! :) I remember how Tesa and I were sooo excited while we haven't even entered the restaurant yet! hahahaha.. quite a long time living without a normal (to our Asian tongue) food would only cause a hysterical visit to KFC.. hahahahaha..

After finishing more than a bucket of fried chicken, we back in the road and driving to Dortmund. As planned, we are going to spend nights at Trima's boyfriend's place (i forgot his name.. excuse the lil ungrateful brain of mine) starting from Jan 2 to Jan 4 (the day I flew back to Indo). So tonite til Jan 2 we're going to stay at Trima's friend's place (again, of course, I forgot his name).

Dortmund is famous for its rhino image.. one of its main street has many rhino statues all along the pedestrian.

As soon as we've arrived at the place, it was 11 pm, I directly took a shower (the temperature was +/- 5 degree C) and headed to the bed. Thanks Trima for letting Tesa and I slept inside the warm room :)

The following day we walked to the city to look at the remainings of Christmas. We found a great great bookstore where I didnt buy any of the books there (it's mostly in German, no?). Tesa spent quite lots of her money buying books there.. She also bought an English book, luckily, so we could stay hours in a cafe nearby, reading. She with her newly learned sophisticated German and me left with the only English book she bought.

The cafe itself was goooooood.. it's a small 2-stories house with a classic piano downstair and a couple of sofas. We sat upstair and drank a couple of beers, reading, talking, and talking, and talking. I have a video of the moment and planning to upload it in youtube.. it was quite memorable : )

Dortmund is famous for its rhino image.. one of its main street has many rhino statues all along the pedestrian. Funny and creative how many companies were using it as their ad media. For example, a fast food restaourant decorates a statue with their logo, complete with the bulb lights and restaurant jingle. Hahaha.. imagine a rhino statue with such decoration..

Ok, basically the town itself has nothing very unique compared to other European city.. but I did take more of videos here since one of my dad's fav football league is Dortmund's. I just wanted to show him whats the town itself looks like.. and thank goodness I did it.. since he was quite impressed with the image of this town thru what's captured in the video..

I spent the whole 5 days in Dortmund, with a few trips to Koeln (at the New Year's eve and Jan 2) here and there but in overall Dortmund sure has took a great part in my holiday in Germany this time..
