Rain??

Rain greeted us from the plane in Brisbane and that meant we had a couple of days of planning to work out where we wanted to go in Queensland. Brisbane was a real city and we spent the whole day looking around there. It was similarly laid out to London but on a small scale. We went on a CAT taxi boat up and down the river at night and saw the Southbank which has galleries and even a beach. There was quite a good exhibition on at one of the galleries, everything was made of cardboard by an artist called Terry Summers. We planned the rest of our stay in Queensland and our two key places to see were Fraser Island and the Great Barrier Reef. We just had to try to avoid the floods which have ruined the summer here.
