Well, our last day to a fun trip. We slept late (again). In fact didn’t do a whole lot today. Again, a fun night on Bourbon Street sure doesn’t make a productive next day. We had brunch at Court of Two Sisters. I kept calling it a Tale of Two Sisters. Then we walked down Royal Street. Sad thinking about all those nice & interesting stores being looted. We then took a nap. HA! That was pretty much our day. Oh well, we’re on vacation! We went to eat at August. It was a fancy, scmancy restaurant. We had a five course meal with a wine paring with each. It was really good. Tracy and me realized we would rather have a nice filet and salad bar at Taste of Texas though. It was nice and romantic though. So the cool part of the night was sitting 2 tables down from Harry Shearer. He’s the bass player in Spinal Tap and the voice of Principal Skinner, Mr. Burns, Smithers and many others on the Simpsons. You could hear his voice through out the restaurant. I keep wait for “Bart, come here”. HA! We got our picture taken with him. He was really nice! So then we met Wendy and Kevin in the piano bar at Pat O’Brien’s. Yes, the more things change the more they stay the same. Had fun. What a great place. Then Tracy, Kevin and Wendy topped of the night with the Bourbon Street’s finest cuisine… Lucky Dogs! I just couldn’t do it. So that was it. This was actually a pleasant surprise trip. I was worried about how New Orleans had recovered. It’s coming along nicely. I think part of the trip was taking in the food of New Orleans more too. Past trips have been pretty much all Bourbon Street. While that’s fun, experiencing the incredible New Orleans restaurants made it more of a trip. Man… we’re getting old. HA!

There's food here too?!
