The way back home
From 26 days in Costa Rica in Uvita, Costa Rica on Sep 05 '07
Because it takes at least 9 hours to get to the capital from where we were and we didn't want to spend 9 hours on a costarican bus, we left and made id half way from Golfito to Uvita. With a stop at Palmar (we had to wait for the bus to Uvita for 3 hours). We got a funny enthusiastic taxi driver, Marcus, to drive us around the town and show us big granite spheres that are left over from pre Colombian civilizations and nobody knows what they are. A local english teacher told us that people used to think that there is gold inside them and blow them up with Dynamite. But now they are protected by law.
Went for the walk in the national park (just the beach really) but it's wierd because the beach forms an whale tail.
Tomorrow morning we are going to ride horses ( I think Russ is not looking forward to that... ha ha). We are trying to do us much as we can in our last little bit of time left here.
PS. For some reason all the postings were mixed up in their chronological order. But now I fixed them up.
