We land literally in the middle of nowhere.  Never seen anything like it.  Reminded me of a scene from The Bodyguard!  We amble up to the arrivals area, last ones off the plane as usual.  As we enter arrivals my aunt, uncle, cousin and her husband are there to greet us.  And what a greeting it was!  You could tell immediately they were pleased to see us, and not only that seemed like really nice genuine people.  I've only meet this side of my family a few times, but they never fail to impress me.  I think we have a similiar mindset, strange as we are on different sides of the world.

We are practically carried to the hire car, quickest exit ever from an airport!  Within minutes Im driving the car down the road, following a 4x4 that looks like it had a run-in with a major duststorm.  My energy levels have picked up, and Im really excited to see the family.

50K later we arrive in Denmark, to a little cottage  which is completely isolated.  Put it like this - when the car lights were off we couldnt see the car from the cottage, and it was barely 10 metres away. The drive to the cottage is up a red dirt track road, I now realise why the 4x4 looked like it did.

When my family leaves Steve stands in the middle of the room and looks extremely scared!  He is worried about spiders, and to be honest this cottage doesnt really do much to help his fears as there are cobwebs a plenty.  I am not so worried, when in Rome and all that.  Steve does a tour of the cottage with a poker stick his has found on the fireplace, determined to protect the family!  I'm not one to kill any form of living being, so am not happy at his aggressive approach. Luckily the spiders are nowhere to be seen.

During the night I get up to watch some telly as Lloyd will not settle between 4 and 6am.  I change my mind when I clock a huntsman spider on the wall in the lounge!
