Last day of holiday

We arrived safely after getting out of Thailand on the second day of the coup. We checked into the Four Seasons Hotel recommended by Sally Russell. It is fabulous, see separate review. After breakfast we went to Orchard Road, Ian did more shopping! I had to buy another bag and god knows what we are going to get charged for excess baggage. We have been to Jerry's and collected the luggage we left there and Sandy's overflow. I'm ready for the pool and my book now. Grant and Leigh are bringing 2 cars to the airport to get us, how embarrassing! Well this is the last blog apart from my review which I will do once I am home. I hope you have all enjoyed reading it. Jerry & Ian were late to hotel which meant we were late to the airport. When we finally left the hotel Jerry took a wrong turn and we spent some time driving around the back of Changi prison, airport on the other side!

Travelling business class on Singapore Air and they wanted to charge us $1800 for excess baggage! We had phone Jerry and get him to come back to the airport and take some luggage to store at his house. Ian later bought a car and the left luggage arrived saely in New Zealand 2 months later.

It is now March and I am still chasing Bangkok Air for the refund they promised me at Singapore Airport when i had to re purchase tickets to get to Koh Samui.
