Today was amazing. Although some people slept in Kendall and I woke up at six to the sound of the ocean. We went out to the living room and looked out at palm trees, parrots, toucans and the ocean in the distance. At seven, Kendall, Ali, Lombardo and I decided to go down to the ocean for our first swim; it was also my first time ever in an ocean. Other then the intense salt flavor it was amazing.

Matt had to go back to El Salvador because of his eye and Ali went with him being the amazing mom that she is but she would be back, unlike Ben who had to go back to meet some of his parents Salvadoran friends for dinner.

By 11:00 we were all at the beach and the boys were out boogie boarding and after not being able to figure out how to do it gave up with the excuse of “the waves aren’t big enough!” As the day wore on, the sunburns began to show on our pasty Canadian skin. An emergency phone call to Ali to bring back Aloe Vera was made and soon after lunch it was there.

Kyle, Sandy, Lily, Mike, Ali and I went down to the beach to explore what El Salvador had to offer. We wrote messages in the sand, found funny little sand animals, and there were crabs everywhere! There was a cool cave that Ali fell in love with; all that biology in one place was truly amazing. After our last swim in the ocean we went back to the beach house as the sun was setting and started to round up the troops. After a long trip back to the Alamo we got ready for dinner. A very grouchy, sun stroked group of Canadians went to a Mexican restaurant and sat quietly awaiting dinner. When we got back to home sweet home most of us crashed and were preparing ourselves for the long weekend at New Acropolis.
