A quick stop-off in Solo on the way to Singapore. It turned out to be my five minutes of fame in Indonesia. 'Jogja TV' happened to be on the train that I got to Solo, as as luck would have it, they happened to be in the carriage that I took. 'Indonesian people love to hear stories from train journeys', they told me. Would I take part as the foreign guest on the train. As if getting a train on the largest archipelago in the world wasn't strange enough, being the star of their evening TV program was eerie. I even got to sit back in my room in Solo and enjoy it!

Solo was a relaxed experience, that is apart from the worker in my guesthouse that wanted to drive me into the countryside and his arch enemy on the streets that thought I was going to hire him. A real balancing act!
