Waking a little seedy this morning, we agreed early on that it was well worth it (a rare realization!). We headed straight down the coast to Belfast. We had some lunch in the van and got out to explore. The tourist office advised us of a free tour of the Town Hall at 2pm so that’s where we headed. It was really good funnily enough. The building was spectacular with marble staircases/ pillars etc. From there we went to check out the famous Crown Saloon Inn. Unfortunately it was in the middle of major reno’s so we didn’t stick around. Instead we headed to a Titanic exhibition (as it was built in Belfast) via the van just to check on it. Well, to our lovely surprise we’d received a parking ticket. Pissed off!!! No signs- nothing to say we couldn’t park there- mind you there were many others parked in front of us with no ticket. Jules is on to it, writing a letter straight away!! The exhibition really was quite poor. So much so we wondered if we were at the right place- we were. We decided to give them a break as they did state they were about to undergo a makeover. Absolutely buggered, we left the city and headed back up the coast to a park we’d spotted on the way down at Newtownabbey. Beautiful spot once again. Bring on the sleepies!!
