On the way to Lancaster it was a little damp. I got a good start on the day but took it slow. In Euphrata, I was going to crash a Burger King (I’ve been mostly eating local but have no qualms about abusing the hospitality of the big chains) but then I saw a quaint

place called Javatea. Nothing spectacular but they did have tea and a chair and a bathroom and some nice ladies who asked me about my trip. I took a ride to my campground because it was going to get dark before I’d get there. And a good thing too. At about 5, as I was settling in, it started to rain. Somewhere in the night it turned into snow. It was loud on the roof but I slept pretty well and was warm and dry. In the morning I felt more than average reluctance to pack up and move. I got my things together like a pro without everything getting wet. Trudged through a lot of snow and took a short bus ride to spend more time in Lancaster. Took photos of good citizens shoveling sidewalks.

More snow!
