With the sun shinning for more than just one day, we decided to take a road trip a little further afield and headed to Abersoch in North Wales, where Helen has a holiday home. Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula and is a popular seaside village with many shops and restaurants, for its size which is not that big it has 5 surf shops. It also boasts many caravan/camping parks all of which are no where near the beach, a little different from old NZ.
We spent a day exploring the coast line and driving through the many narrow courntry lanes, which were big enough for one car only. With only really one day in Abersoch we didn't get a chance to really explore. Our trip to Abersoch took us through Snowdonia national park which is very mountainous, and also is home to a nuclear power staion.

Heading back to the Cotswolds, we stopped at Iron Bridge in Shropshire which is famous for its iron bridge built in the 1700's and is the only bridge in the world made out of cast iron. The bridge is considered a british national monument. The small town of Iron Bridge is very pretty as it sits on the banks of the river Severn gorge.
