Bratislava
From Slovakia in Bratislava, Slovakia on Aug 05 '08
Just a quick one for Bratislava. We got there early, so did all the sightseeing in one day basically. There wasn't alot to see really, and as it was Monday all the Museums were closed. The old part of town is the main tourist part, which you can walk across in about 15 mins. The castles looked nice and gave some good views.
The river Danube runs through it and presented the opportunity to get a boat to Budapest the next day. But, due to rail being free we decided against it.
A quick stop in Bratislava
That night we ran into one of Tania's Kiwi friends, who after a few beers invited us back to his flat for a few beers. He was working for a millionaire there, and this flat was kind of the guys "shag pad," but had let this guy Ryan stay there for a few weeks. I stayed out with him and another Aussie guy until the early hours, frequenting a nice strip joint at the end of the night. I do have to say the women here really do look after themselves, the are very beautiful on the most.
Well travellig the next day on a hangover wasn't so pleasant, but to be honest I had a good night, so it was worth it. Onto Budapaest then, still with Claire and Luke at this point.
