Boston Bar (and its sidekick North Bend) are located north of Hope off of Hwy 1: Trans Canada Hwy in the Fraser Canyon. Over the years Boston Bar has stayed relatively small and true to its unique character. Everyone in town is friendly and down to earth and you can find practically everything in town - food, gas, lodging, supplies, a mechanic's shop, liquor and postal outlets.
North Bend is located across the Fraser River from Boston Bar. It's mostly residential, but quaint and friendly.

Although the town is small, there are endless possibilities of outdoor recreation (year round) in the surrounding area. What's even greater is that you can enjoy this recreation for next to nothing in cost. Forestry campsites and places along the road to stay can be found anywhere along the FS Roads and the cost to do anything is free. Take your skis, snow shoes, snowmobile, tent, trailer, canoe, belly boats, rods and reels, dirt bikes... you can do all of that here. I came for the photography and relaxing experience of taking six hours to drive a 30 km length of road and back - and documented it all.

Day "1" was my run up from an office meeting in town to the cabin. I made it there in a few hours - just in time to grab a few shots of the setting sun. I was about 25 km into the bush from North Bend on the main FSR that follows the Nahatlatch River.
