Xmas in Guangzhou

Had our first Xmas together yesterday, actually it was the first Xmas for Liyan, Sansan and Shu.

We each cooked a dish and after we had dinner, opened our gifts, we had a secret santa for each other, which was interesting as we had a 20 Yuan limit per gift.

But all went well and then we played a card game that I just did not get lol, as well as chinese checkers.

Have been playing badminton with Liyan each day, well trying to anyway as she is a pretty good player, I think the scores have been 15-0 everyday day so far, but I now have a badminton racket and am determined to win at least a point from her lol.

Went to the Guangzhou Art Musuem today, saw a great exhibit on calligraphy thru the centuries. I could not believe how old some of the work was, with some pieces dating back to the 13th Cerntury, as well as pottery from 200BC.

We are all having Hotpot this evening together, I really have a thing for Hotpot now, just love the way everything is with this meal lol. Even took my brother and his girlfriend to a hotpot place in Sydney from the same franchise as they have in China, The LIttle Sheep.

We are now planning a New Years Party, not quite what I will be use to but it should be fun anyway.

But am going to see a few temples with Liyan this week, and am heading home on the 2nd January now.
