Scuba is Fun
From Getting Packed in Quepos, Costa Rica on Mar 04 '07
Mon Mar 5 - We woke up with a relaxing morning with nothing to do. We just hung around the hotel pool and took it easy. At 1pm Stu took a quick classroom/pool refresher Scuba course. We stayed in at the hotel that night and feasted on Tuna Fish Sandwiches and Raman Noodles.
Tues Mar 6 - We awoke bright and early and hit the ocean to do some Scuba diving. Stu successfully completed two dives today. He was a natural :-) I however have not dove in about 5 years and wasn't sure I was going to make it down, but it came back "like riding a bicycle". We went to the beach for the afternoon where Stu enjoyed a $20/30 min massage on the beach. We watched the sunset from the beach where it seemed to melt into the water. We wrapped up the day with dinner at a place called BambuJam. It was sweltering, so sad to say we didn't stay for the live music at 9pm.
Wed Mar 7 - Again, an early morning of Scuba similar to yesterday. Stu is now fully certified to dive anywhere. He did great and passed all the tasks with flying colors - removing mask underwater, buddy breathe, using a compass, etc. We finished the day at the beach with a second massage for Stu while I read and watched the surfers. Pretty cool. We're headed off to dinner soon. We're flying South tomorrow morning to a small remote fishing lodge. We're hoping to do some diving as well, but will probably be out of touch until we return back to the states. Miss you all and see you in a week! We can compare tans then :-)
