Started out with a 4 mile hike on a beautiful sunny day to Russian River Falls. With a quick refresher on bear encounter etiquette – no Susan, do not run when you see a bear - we had an enjoyable hike. Not only were the Salmon huge, there was a big brown bear that ambled into the center of the river and caught dinner…what a sight. We also went to Homer, where we saw two moose – boy, they are fast…no good pics of them yet. Homer was a great town with lots of local artist and we had fabulous Halibut. We loved drinking beer at the “Salty Dawg”, awesome local spot. We highly recommend Cups on Pioneer Ave—the seafood was wonderful. It was a beautiful site – the meal and driving into the town.
what a view
