Day One (12/2)
From Southwest Trip in Phoenix, United States on Dec 01 '06

Seeing as how we spent over 12 hours in airports or on airplanes, it wasn't the most thrilling of days. We got quite bored with the sitting and waiting part. The sunset was awesome coming into Phoenix, but it was hard to capture on camera. There was very little turbulence... a bit more on the first leg of the trip from Albany to Baltimore.
After finally getting to Phoenix, we got the rental car and met up with Brendan and his girlfriend, Jen. They took us to a great restaurant called Rustler's Rooste which sits up on a big hill overlooking the city. It was a themed ranch-type restaurant and we ordered rattlesnake for an appetizer. It was actually quite tasty -- almost like calamari, but less chewy.
"Are we there yet?"

Brendan's house is really nice. It's pretty big and he's got four little dogs running around. You can tell even from the inside that it's a Southwest house (style of architecture and all that). By the time we finally got in, we were exhausted. We didn't sleep so great, but not sure what that was really from.
