Plakias

Plakias is another small beach front town and it was just gorgeous! The youth hostel was tucked away in an olive grove and was so so great. Our first day we hiked to One Rock Beach which was very small and secluded amongst the rocks (again nude beach), that night we went for a beach side supper and had some of the local wine at the hostel (i've become a bit of a wino on this trip). The next day we got up early to do the 'river walk' in which you actually walk up the river IN the river. Up to chest height in some place. It's more of a scramble over rocks and waterfalls than a walk really..... was soaked after about 10 minutes as I being the clutz I am tripped over bamboo and fell into a pool.... a bit scraped up after this walk let me tell you. Dominique had the worst part though as she's 5"2 so had to be lifted to some of the foot holes on the rock climbing parts.

We spent the rest of the day on the beach and went for another great meal and excessive alcohol consumption. We were both VERY rough the next day and the 2 buses to get to Hania were NOT pleasant in our hungover state. Hania was next up and so far is a beautiful city similar to venice apparently!
