Barcelona was a great place. We took the advice of our europe book and did the things it suggested that were within our price range.

We took a trip down las rambles, the main shopping street and were wowed by the street performers and strange pet shops that just appear during the day and dissapear at night!

We also visited the famous gaudi buildings and parks, la padrera, battlo, park guell and his most famour unfinished cathedral! All these building are completely crazy, with strange shaped chimneys, windows, balconys ect. We went inside la padrera and visited the gaudi museum housed within. This particular building has no straight lines from the outside or in the attic area! Bizarre. We walked to his famous park guell when the sun was setting so couldnt spend much time exploring it but you could easily spend a whole day there! There are lovely mosaics and strange buildings to look at. His most weird building is his unfinished cathedral, which seems to have a stone christmas tree on it and lots of fruit and vegetables!

We also visited the barcelona cathedral and took a walk on the lovely sandy beaches.
