Since no buses run from Sixmile to Bunratty we had to take a cab. We got dropped off at the folk park along with all of our luggage, quite a sight as we wheeled up to buy tickets. They were great and let us leave everything so we could look around. The stuff is all replica's, except the church and the castle, but it was still really cool. We spent most of the day there, before walking to the bus stop and heading to the airport to catch the Ennis bus. The bus driver was really rude, and I was glad he wasn't our first impression of Ireland. We got to the hostal in Ennis and ran into Melissa and her brother, Melissa had been in our room in Cork on the first night. Small world. We went to the 13th century Friary right before it closed, it was pretty cool. The hostel actually has a view of it. Then we read and talked to folks before retiring to bed.

07-06-06 We have a Cliffs of Moher tour at 2:30, so we eat a leisurely breakfast and then head over to the free Clare museum. The ride out to the cliffs is pretty, but the cliffs themselves are awesome. Giant sheer faces rising hundreds of feet out of the Atlantic, packed with sea birds and a massive cave. There are wildflowers and green as well. We only have an hour, so we race up to the top, walk past the "Don't Pass" sign, like everyone else, and then make our way back. Then we drive on, till our brief photo stop of corkscrew hill. Our final stop is the tomb, which is quite neat. At 6:30 we are dropped off at the tourist office. I was going to do the walking tour, but when it became clear that it would be the guide and us (too hard if the tour sucks!) we changed out minds. Instead we walked all over ourselves, then stopped for a few groceries before, you guessed it, dinner and bed! 08-06-06 Today we wen to one thrift store, then headed over to catch a bus to Adare, a town we'd passed through the other day that looked cute. We got there and it was cute, it also was a town you could see in an hour. We went to both of the old churches, the tourist center, the old manor, the cottages and then the grocery store for some snacks whilst we awaited the bus. It the park across the street (yep we went there too) were at least two brides having their wedding photos done. They seem to get married very young here. Or at least all the couples we have seen getting married are young, maybe the "older" people have to get married in hiding? Then we got back to town and went to the market, mmmm... fresh veggies 09-06-06 We decided to bum around town today, hit all the thrift stores and the churches and such. We were not meant to be here so long, but the hostel in Wexford isn't answering their phones and there are three concerts on this weekend in Dublin, so we are a little stuck. Oh well, we got some good buys. And on the 10th I did this. Oh, on the 9th Cook went out with her new Spanish friends till 1am. And she was out talking till 2, a wild wanton woman she is. Not as wild as the two fourteen year old girls fistfighting in the square, but wild.
