We took the train from London down to Brighton without too much difficulty although in getting to the train station itsself the London Underground once again demonstrated its stunning ability to fail you. We got on a Northern line train which takes two separate routes through London, we made sure to check the front of the train to ensure we were on the right one but suddenly there was a message over the PA announcing that this train was now going to take the other route. Out we got with our ridiculously heavy bags and climbed up one flight of stairs and down another to a separate platform to get the train we needed.

Anyway, Rory and Stevie met us at the train station in Brighton and we went back to their place for some dinner. They have recently bought a beautiful house which they chose because of its proximity to a large number of great pubs. Therefore, after dinner we organized ourselved and headed out to the nearest of these pubs. A great evening ensued which ended back at their place after the pub closed.

The next day we went for a stroll around Brighton, down the "lanes" where all the independant shops are. We walked along the seafront and then back to Rory and Stevie's. That evening we did a bit of a pub crawl hitting 4 separate pubs on our travel and wrapping up the night with a game of Carrom which ended sometime around 3:30 in the morning.

An early start the next day got us on the train back to London to meet Grandad, Kirsty and Bryony for a Sunday roast at the Tally-Ho pub down the street from Whetstone.
