La Casa del Suizo and Shiripuno

Hola everyone! Finally back in quito and just in time..cos tomorro morning we´re off to.............the Galapagos Islands!!!!!!! Got back really late from ¨la casa del suizo" unfortunately, had some troubles with buses all day..and bulldozers clearing the roads!!! So, really sorry, wanted to send a long email about the last few days which have been GREAT, but will have to type it when we get back from Galapagos. But just some highlights quick..shiripuno was great..got to see some really traditional huorani indians deep in the jungle and also almost got stampeded by a herd of about 500 peccaries (like big pigs) the one day when we were walking in the jungle!!!(we had to hide behind trees!!!) Also got to see a tayra (weasel type animal) and wooly monkeys and also loads of wild macaws in the trees..AWESOME! Casa del suizo was also amazing..there was a HUGE swimming pool there overlooking the river, so thats where we spent most of our time!!! Anyway, have to run, have to go fetch clothes from the laundromat and then try get an early nigths sleep!!! We are SOOOO excited!!!!!!!! Its an 8 day cruise, so we get back on the 29th may...hopefully with LOADS of pics!!! We bought an underwater camera..so hopefully we can get some good shots with that too! Flying to guayaquil airport first thing in the morning and then next flight to the islands and then the cruise begins!!!! We heard great news too..the volcano on fernandina island erupted on the 13th may, so we should get a good look at the recent lava flows...EXCITING! Which reminds me, we got GREAT views of the snowcapped volcanoes antisana, cotopaxi and cayambe on the way back here today..they are just SOOO huge they just take your breath away!They are really something u have to see for yourself to appreciate.
