I like Valencia! It has large palm tree lined boulevards, mazes of tiny streets in the old city, parks, old Mediterranean style buildings, new ultra-modern building projects, delicious tapas and seafood, amazing sunsets, fountains everywhere, beautiful weather, the ocean... I like Valencia. I guess the only thing missing are the mountains. :(

Now that Christian has a fridge we are not going out as often, but when we are lazy we go to our favorite (=cheap) Tapas restaurant. Or when we are even lazier we buy 2 lbs (6 euros) of shrimp and just eat away. Delicious!!! Now he also has a projector in the apartment for watching DVDs on the wall. We have just the essentials projector, internet, table, chairs, food. No TV, no sofa, no plants, no lamps. (Ok, to be honest, he is waiting for all of the extras to be delivered from Munich).

In the past 1.5 weeks, I got to really check out this city. I just walked around the old streets and climbed the cathedral tower for views over the city. One great thing about Valencia is how they decided re-route the river around the city after a flood and turned the old riverbed into parks and playing fields. Its really nice.

I also visited the boat houses of the 2007 America's Cup teams. They are already training.

Other than that I am just relaxing. It is actually starting to rain here and get a bit cooler... I think it is time to go farther south.
