Koeln

Koeln is not the prettiest of Germany's cities but it does have lots of great shops and nightlife. Don't attempt to climb the stairs to the top of the famous cathedral unless you're fit though!

My memories of Koeln involve going to see Saturday Night Fever in German after a few too many drinkypoos with Babsy; a final "Prost!" over drinks with the Nordrhein Westfalen and Rheinland Pfalz language assistants and laughing at the fact that security guards chase you away if you walk on the wrong part of the roof of the opera house; being glad I made it to the top of the Dom (cathedral) alive; and buying red Converse trainers which gave me the nickname "clown feet" for a while.
