The old city of edinburgh! what a plac to visit , the city is divded into two parts , the new and old town with the old town being my personal favorite. The new town is quite alot like most large cities but once you corss over the birdges into the old town and see the vast landscape and crags over looking the old city and then look up the royal mile and see the Edinburgh castle rising over the cobblestone streets high atop the hills you will , i promise , fall in love with this city. We spent our time there exploring the shops on the royal mile, with a favporite being an medievil weapons shop. they carried all sortf of old replica rifles, guns and eveyr type of sowrd you cna imagine! you  can pick naything up and swing it around at you liesure as well so tthats an awesome store! Ha, well i thought so anyways.  After paying the always outrageous price tag for the admission to edinburgh castle ( eveythingin the uk is outrageously priced, especially for a small town Canadian like me.)  I can tell you it was well worth the price tag, we spent 4 horus wandering thru the massive buildings, museums and historical artifacts. Seen the Scotttish crown jewels and the stone of destiny. ( the sonte whihc if sat on , would make you the king/queen of scotland!  After asking what the big rock oin the glas s case was and recieiving the most pitied look i got an explanation and a most interesting history lesson on Scotland.  Scotland , as i've seen has been great, aweosme scenery, great architechture, the best accent ever ( asides from glasgow ) The greatest view if you can get a clear ish kinda day ( hard there with all the rain ) from the top of a castl. honestly tho, i would pay the admission ust to see the view form the top asides from the great museums and builings or wepons to explore. We then took th worst bus ride ever to London which will be explained in the next entry , London.  Im out, -Darren
