After our day of hiring boats at the busy Vancouver Port and playing golf at Stanley Park, we headed off to the Swanguard Stadium in Burnaby, East Vancouver to watch the local Vancouver soccer team play against Puerto Rico. The game started at 7pm so we took the skytrain from downtown to Patterson Station in Burnaby. The stadium was about a 5 min walk from there set in a very picturesque environment.

We had front row seats and the game was of similar standard to a league 2 game in the UK. It was a very family oriented atmosphere and was all good fun. The whitecaps won 1-0, and by the time the 90 mins were up the sun was setting over the North Shore mountains....certainly a view you wouldnt see at any football game in the UK!! See pics.
