Since we didn't make it to the grocery store before it closed the night before our need for food drove us from our hotel room the next morning. The shopping area that is attached to our hotel has a small grocery store, which is a huge plus. We bought all kinds of fresh fruit, including a new favorite of ours, dragon fruit. We also stocked up on other essentials, cereal, milk, water, and diet Pepsi (hey, I consider it an essential!). Jeff tried to buy some beer for later, but beer sales are restricted to a small portion of the day, and this was to early. We headed back to our kitchen for breakfast. Although we had to make it ourselves, we had a breakfast spread that was almost able to compete with the one at the Old Bangkok Inn.

Next we decided that massages again were a good idea. Jeff wasn't feeling that adventurous and booked a sports massage while I went for the Thai massage. When riding a cab previously, it didn't seem that far between the massage place and the hotel so we decided to walk. By the time we arrived, hot and sweaty, we decided that it was quite a ways. After giving up our shoes, we went our separate ways for massages. A Thai massage is done with no oil and is more pressing and stretching instead of rubbing. I was given a loose cotton outfit to put on and laid down on a mattress on the floor. The next two hours were absolutely amazing. The pressing and stretching of my sore muscles was better than any massage I have ever had. She stretched muscles that I didn't even know that I had! When it was over, I managed to pull myself off the floor and met Jeff who was already seated with his tea. He said that his massage was good, but I think mine was better. He seemed a little jealous at the happy noises that I was making. Relaxed we set off to do some shopping. We were looking for an electronic item and we found an big electronics market on our map. A short walk, a sky train ride, and another short walk, we arrived.

This place was amazing! It was four or five floors of tons of stalls and shops selling everything from DVDs to computers and computer parts. There were stores specific to almost every brand of computer out there too. The downside is that it isn't all that well air conditioned. There are escalators though. We wandered from floor to floor and although we couldn't find what we were looking for, we ended up buying a 6 foot high speed internet (cat 5) cable for about a dollar. We got one of the cool plugs for the wall that you can plug USB cords into to charge things. I have a small GPS receiver for my pocket PC that only charges via USB, so the plug will be nice at home.

Purchases made, we headed off for food. A short walk later found us at one of the biggest malls I have ever seen. It was called the Central World Market. It is 7 floors and has two movie theaters, a grocery store, a Toys R US, department stores, and to many other shops and restaurants to count. After looking through the tons of food choices, we settled on one called The Garage because they had hamburgers. They actually have free refills on their soda here (a rarity) and the burgers were awesome. They had a large TV screen and were playing Oceans 12, which we love, but it had just started when we came in. It was a bit of a challenge to leave after we were done eating, but before the movie ended! We caught the SkyTrain one stop, and since we got in to late to catch the hotel shuttle from the SkyTrain we walked to the hotel. The walk was much shorter than the walk to the massage place had been.
