I arrived in Algeciras by ferry at 5:30 because of the time change. I asked about buses to Lisbon, they told me I had to go through Seville, so I bought a bus ticket and was on the road again by 7. The bus got to Seville about 10pm, and unfortunately I had no information about Seville because Ana and I had never planned on going there! So I just went to the first hotel I saw (it was a 3 star) and asked them where the hostel was! They knew only of a 1 star hotel down the street somewhere, so I started walking. I passed an internet cafe so I went in and did a frenzied search for maps and info on accommodation in seville. Turns out there is a hostel, but reception closes at midnight. I hadn't eaten anything all day, so that was priority, and that would not have left me any time to look for the hostel by midnight with all my crap. I heard a couple of girls speaking english, so I asked them if they knew where I could get a good bite to eat that late on Sunday night, and they sent me right down the street in the direction I was going anyway. So I went there and had the best damn grilled ham and cheese I ever tasted (starvation does funny things to your sense of taste!) and some ice cream to finish! Then I went just a bit further up and found a good cheap place to spend the night. I checked in, went up to the room and went through my Lisbon info before going to sleep.

I got up at like 9 and it sounded like it was raining pretty hard. I took a shower, packed up my stuff, and didn't get out until like 10:30, but that was fine because the rain had slowed to intermittent drizzle. I left my big backpack in the hotel and went to find out about Seville, at this point I still had no idea what to do or see, but on the bus I remembered seeing a tourist info office. I walked the way I thought the bus drove us, but it was further than I thought. I eventually got there and the staff was very helpful! From there I went to eat breakfast and look over all the information to decide how to see Seville. I still hadn't decided whether I wanted to stay another night. I took a really long time going through the info, but I came up with a pretty good plan of attack. I walked . ..

I found out where the youth hostel was and I walked over there. It was quite far, and I didn't get there until quite late. I had walked a lot that day, so I decided not to return to the first hotel to get my big bag, I had everything I needed in my little one. I went to the room they assigned me and met 2 guys, one from California, the other from Canada. They were both really cool, so we ended up talking a lot about where we've been. We even went out for a bit because the Canadian wanted a pack of smokes, and the Cali boy needed to get his towel from this place he left it at the night before. We shortly found a bar with a cigarette machine,
