At last, a whole free day!!  After being ushered around and having a whole timetable to follow, we don´t really know what to do with ourselves!!

And the obligatory purchase of something made of alpaca wool

We get up for breakfast, potter about in the morning, sort out laundry, check email, and then head out for lunch in town.  Chris and Ian from the group told us about a chocolate shop, so we tried to find that.  We probably went the longest way around EVER, but we got there in the end.  By the time we get there, we decided that we actually wanted lunch, not just chocolate, so we eat in a cafe just across the road.  They have fabulous cakes on display, but as usual we are too full and don't get to dessert.

We make our way back to the hotel, but at quite a leisurely pace.  We stop at shops and places to see along the way.  I stop to buy a watercolour painting from a man in a little studio.  A photo with some local girls for a donation and the obligatory purchase of something made of alpaca wool.

Tonight is our second to last meal together as a group, so Dany has arranged something.  We go to this restaurant called Fallen Angel.  It's one of the coolest restaurants I've been to.  The decor is great!!  Most of the tables are bathtubs filled as aquariums, with glass tops so you can watch the fish swimming around while you eat.  At our table, we are seated on a giant four poster bed which has red and black PVC heart cushions on it!!! On the ceiling above our table are some flying pigs.  There is a lovely sculpture of an angel in a courtyard outside.  But the best thing is the toilets.  One is 'heaven' and is decorated with smashed mirrors and pale blue light, the other is 'hell' which is decorated with roses on barbed wire and red light.  I picked hell!  The food was great.  They specialise in steak and it was fantastic.  I had it with a mustard sauce.  Andrew and I decided to sample a cocktail, so we both had a Machu Picchu (see picture).  It was great colours and quite strong once I got to the bottom!  And after a delicious main, I couldn't not have dessert.  I had white chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce.  It was fantastic.  Nice and full, we then headed back to the hotel.

If you are ever in Cuzco, you should try and check out the restaurant for yourself.  Have a look at their website:    http://www.fallenangelincusco.com/restaurante_ing.htm
