We finally arrived at Byron Bay but several hours late due to a bit of a disastrous journey from Surf Camp. There was a bit of a problem with the trailor on the bus but the driver thought would be ok the carry on with it but got stopped at a police contol point and got fined several thousand dollars and told that she couldn't live the town until it was fixed. She was confident that as only a small prob she could get it fixed in hour or so but we knew she was being overly optimistic and wasn't a huge surprise that she didn't come back for us until 4 hours later! I have never been so glad to get out of anywhere as much as Grafton as we literally were just sitting outside in the blaring sun with pretty much nothing to do. We were glad to finally get to Byron but already not in the best mood after the long & tiring journey so had a pretty quiet evening just went out for a cheap dinner and then went to Cheeky Monkey's for few drinks.

We got up pretty early the next day and went for walk along the beach up the the Cape Byron light house which was nice walk although very hot even early on in the day! We spent most of the day taking a look around Byron and then i went to internet cafe to get my 2000 pics put on a dvd which unsurprisingly took quite a while! The hostel we were staying at was ok but not the best but definite plus point was that had a pool and bit of area to sunbathe & chill in. In the evening we went out for nice meal at the Great Northern Hotel which is one of the main pubs in Byron Bay and the food was really good & more importantly cheap!! After that we went to catch the end of the Surf movie they were showing down near the beach and then went to few other pubs before heading back to Cheekey Monkey's, the main going out place for backpackers and conveniently for us just over the road from our hostel! We had planned to spend our last full day at the  beach in Byron, which is really lovely, but luck wasn't with us as was very cloudy. Still was nice to have more time to spend in Bryon as is nice place and looked at more of the shops some of which are quite cool after that pretty much spent the rest of the time chilling back at the hostel watching movies and then went out for nice fish & chips dinner so pretty quiet day really!
