I decided to go to another archaeological sight called Tierradentro, the only place in the America with burial tombs dug into the ground. It was again another 5 hour bus ride on dirt roads, but this time the roads were a bit better, and I learned my lesson and didn't sit at the back of the bus, where you really feel the bumps.
I got a much better feeling from this place than San Agustin. It was much smaller, the people were friendlier and nobody was hassling your to go on a tour with a horse. And I was 1 of about 5 tourist in the whole place.

Not much really happened while I was there. The afternoon when I arrived I checked out the museum, and the next day I did about a 6 hour hike to all of the different sites with tombs and statues. Going down into some of the tombs gave you a real sense of exploration.
