We took a city mini-bus (1 hr 15 minutes) from the Krakow bus terminal to Auschwitz. One-way ticket cost 7 Zloty (approximately $2.20 USD). Toured both Auschwitz (Auschwitz I) and Birkenau (Auschwitz II). Today was a very hot day in the sun. It was not as depressing as I thought it might be, but it was still a very somber experience. Our return trip on a regular bus was a bit longer (1 hr 30 minutes), but had air conditioning. The tour took most of the day, so it was time for dinner by the time we returned to Krakow. Walked = 8.62 miles.
