I really don't know why it took me so many years to return to this city again. I was here in January 1997 for over 2 weeks. I enjoyed it very much cos I got so many friends here. I even attended her wedding at her hometown at the coast. There are so many different types of street vendors and dishes that each day is different. And the drinks, so many flavours and fruits.

Today is the third day of Chinese lunar new year 2006, the weather is gloomy and grey, kind of wearing off. It affects my mood a little bit, but I still like Taipei a lot. I am going to meet one of my old mates, how is she now? We haven't seen each other for nine bloody long years, it is a long long time. What's wrong with me?

I should come here more often...

My package included 2 night accommodation at Caeser Hotel, opposite to the Main Train Station, the location is excellent, but the hotel is not. It is SOOOOO far from five star grading that I felt being ripped off. And I saw tons of tourists groups pouring in, which means, independent traveller like me is very likely being neglected in services. It is!

After settled down, we go out for a walk for lunch at 320pm already. It is going to rain, bad news. But the streets are packed with people. I ordered a nice cup of tea, it was gd. It was a good start!! Then we checked out some music/DVD stores nearby. There are many bookstores around too. Great! I come for books in fact. No sooner at 530pm, my legs sore and compell me to take a break. I am sorry for my declining health....and we head back to the overrated hotel for resting and sheltering. It is raining seriously now.

Watching TVs is a must for travelling to get to know the place, we cover so many local news and gossips until nearly 830pm. I read the re-runs more than once now. We must go out for dinner.

Eventually we found a decent TW style noodle shop on the second floor, overlooking the crossing traffic. The rain stopped. I like the clean air. There are only a few persons inside the shop. It is already 9pm. I ordered spicy beef noodle and enjoyed the quietness of Taipei. I took some videos about the traffic below. It looks good!

Taipei is never far away. I should come here more often. I told myself.
