So.... we arrived in Seattle, not knowing where we were staying or where to find Mike and Patrice. Eventually after some food and a beer, I calmed down and my wonderful friend Theresa had done her travel agent thing, and tracked down where we were staying, (Thanks Theresa you're a star!)just as we received a text from Patrice! My first impressions of Seattle weren't that great, I have to say as the streets seemed to be filled with druggies, but turned out that this was just one street. We finally arrived at the motel - yes a motel and it was just as you've imagined it. Seedy. We got the last room - a smoking room. Nice. Needless to say, we went straight out, grabbed some food and headed into Seattle for the evening. Had heard about this ticket you cold buy which gave you free entry into 8 different bars, so off we went. Had a really good night. Met a hilarious bar man - Travis who as soon as we arrived did a shot with Patrice. I'm sure that he was drunker than we were! Having said that we ended up in a a bar with 2 grand pianos on stage and 2 pianists and yes me and Patrice did dance on the stage with them! After trying to persuade an american policeman to take us home, I finally got Patrice in a cab, where she chatted nonstop to the driver for 5 minutes, then fell straight asleep! Left Seattle the next day ready to catch our flight to San Francisco which was delayed by about 4 hours!
