Day 22 ish Palenque

After a knackering overnight bus journey to San Cristobal and exploring the city, we headed to the ruins at Palenque so that meant another 6ish hour journey. We arrived late at night and headed to the hostel. Discovered Palenque town really has nothing going for it. The next day was spent at the ruins just out of town and on the whole I left feeling quite impressed. Walked to the outskirts of the ruins and we saw a stunning waterfall. Afterwards we checked the guide book and found perhaps my favourite restaurant so far. Cheap, tasty and big plates. Now off to the Caribbean coast.
