After a 30 minute discussion on which car to take and how to pack the car with all of our stuff, we headed off to a weekend of great music right outside of Yosemite National Park. My friends went to Strawberry last year and fell in love with it - I had heard enough of their stories to know that I couldn't miss it this year, even though I had just got back from a trip to Europe.
We arrived on Friday around 3. Luckily our friends had arrived early to volunteer at the Children's Craft Tent, so they had saved us a prime spot right by the main stage and had even set up our tents. After unpacking a little bit, we headed to the main stage to listen to Los Lobos. Afterwards, different camps played live music and we strolled around under the stars for the right sound. We found an great band to listen to before calling it a night.

The next day we were planning on swimming and soaking up sun again by the lake, but the clouds had different plans. It actually started snowing! Snow on Memorial Day??
Instead of napping by the lake, we all went to our tents for a little afternoon siesta. I woke up to sunny skies and warm air. We filled out cups for margaritas and headed to the main stage to listen to John Hiatt. He was amazing! We all danced to keep warm and were more than a little merry. That night it was very very cold. We heard it was about 27 degrees at midnight so I think it was even colder than that.
On Sunday, it was the warm day we were hoping for. We headed to the lake and did a little dancing to the beat of the drums and napped by the water. I even jumped in quickly and lost my breath since it was freezing.
We woke up on Monday and headed to Hetch Hetchy.
