So, basically I'm just setting up this page right now. I also wanted to put down all the details and update everyone who may not have known everything. Let's see. So, as of right now, I am waiting for my Visa to be processed. My package have been received by the fine folks in Korea and I wait with baited breath for the follow through. So at least everything on my end of things is done, with the exception of an immunization for Diphtheria (boo... I do hate needles with a fiery passsion).

This is apparently called the gateway of fall. I like fall. I'm looking forward to seeing what its like there.

I got a phone call two days ago from a guy named Scott in Korea, who has the job that I'll be having right now. He called at the request of the director to ask if I had any questions or concerns, and to hear what he thought of the city and the experience on a whole. He was very nice, and told me that the school itself is great, although I will be the token westerner. There are four teachers but the other three are Korean English teachers. He told me that I will be teaching kids from the ages of 8-14, which is cool, and that class size is no larger than 12.

Apparently the apartment I will be living in is a five minute walk from the school and has all the amenities, including TV VCR, queen size bed, fridge, dishes etc etc... Sounds good. He also said that he will leave names and phone numbers of some of his friends who offered to help me out when I arrived, which is really nice to know. Apparently there is a community of about 200 Foreigners in Suncheon, at Scott's estimate.

Anyways, I am currently biding my time in Palmerston, as you all know, and I have been suffering from a crisis in Lethargy, I must admit. Oh well, at least I'm running almost every day. Today we are off to my Grandmother's for the weekend, and I, unfortunately, have to go to a bridal shower with a perfect stranger on Sunday (boo). Oh well, it should be fine. Next week I will be going to Toronto to see Les Miserables with my mom, and I am super psyched for that. Those of you who know me well also know my love for musicals. If all goes smoothly, I should get my passport info from Korea by Monday the 26th, or perhaps Tuesday the 27th. Once received, I will be coming to Ottawa immediately to get my visa processed. So ideally I'll probably be there from the Wednesday to the Saturday of that week. Hopefully I'll be able to see you Ottawa folk while I'm there.

My actual date of departure is October 5th from Toronto Intl, and I will apparently be teaching on the 10th. Should be interesting with the jet leg and all. I think I'm going to start staying up all night and sleeping during the day. Its a good plan. I like it. Love you all! Ash

ps. The photos I am going to add are clearly not those I have taken, but rather are those I have taken from the internet of Suncheon, that I thought some of you may enjoy seeing.
