This was our last day of our Galapagos cruise, and so we only had time for one destination in the morning.  I spent most of the day moping and thinking about how much I wanted to stay and do the whole thing over.  Cruising the Galapagos is so exciting!  One of my favorite parts was that every day was surprising.  I never knew what I was going to see, what wildlife would approach me, what would make me laugh, and what breath-taking scenery there would be.  Another trip to the islands will be fantastic, but I think nothing will be as special as the first time you see the Galapagos.

Bachas beach is named so because of the old sunken barges left there - "barges" was mistakenly pronounced "bachas", and it stuck.  It was a dazzling beach with nice water and soft sand, but we didn't see much wildlife compared to some of the other places we have been.  There were two different lagoons we visited where birds usually hang out, but we didn't see anything there.  I did spy a pelican on the beach.  We had an opportunity to snorkel or swim but I was too depressed by this point so I just lay on the beach and wished for time to slow down.  The Galapagos islands are some of the most dazzling, peaceful islands you could ever hope to see with your own eyes!  I highly recommend them to anyone who loves the outdoors, animals, and adventure.

Saying goodbye to the Galapagos
