We decide to leave Monterey - not good for our health - great place.
We leave to travel down the Big Sur - a 90 mile coastal hugging road - world famous ride on the west coast. The name refers in spanish to big unsourmountable mountains to the south. This was a great ride - great sea views, great bends, and now we have great weather as well.
We stop for a late lunch and Slasher and Warrior have the 5th best Fish and Chips meal in USA - not bad but my local chip shop could match it in taste but not for the spectacular views from the sun terrace! We meet more Harleys and even some Brits who have hired them - still we do not get much conversation fromthe Harley riders - Hawk doesn't care - he thinks they have all have psycological problems - unlike the Beamer riders!

We see many sea lions sunbathing allong the coast and we also see elephant seals - they are massive over 2 tons.
We stop at Hearst Castle - and attempt by an ecentric millionaite to build a blend of all historical European architectures - we see a film but are too late to go up to the castle on the top of the moutain - we are not sad to miss it.
Leaving we see some para surfers - very exhilirating. Then we are passed twice by a guy riding an old "Victory" - twice becuase he stooped for gas and caught us up! We chatted - nice guy - invited us to dinner with his mob.

We found lodgings after a run around just by the sea in San Simean. Warrior was unpacking his kit from the bike when he started to talk to two Canadians riding Triumphs. We all went out for drinks and dinner and got on well exchanging old bike stories - Warrior just listened!
After a big discussion we decided to rapidly move inland the next day to get across to Death Valley - just the same as the Canadians - Gary and Phil.
