Went to Pompeii today. Wow is it impressive. I didn't realise just how big it actually was. It took the five of us eight hours to see it!! and that was going at a quck pace. We saw almost everything listed in the guide book, with exception to about five sites due to them being closed. Very hard to believe and imagine how many people lived there. What amazed me most were the plaster casts. The three that shocked me the most were the mom with her baby lying beside her, the boy crouched in a ball with his hands to the face, almost trying to to breath in any ash, and the man whose face has a horrified look to it. Standing beside the case you could feel his pain. Also the cast beside him of what appears to be a man who looked like he was trying to climb away. Good thing James was our map guide or I think the rest of us would have been lost. Words cannot describe it. Would take the rest of the day to write about all the villas, baths, bakers, shop stalls, restaurants. Tomorrow we are off to Sorrent with Michelle instead of Vernazza.

**Dear reader, as I said in a previous entry some of our photos were lost. This includes the ones of Pompeii. I'm currently in the process of trying to get some back. Sorry)
