Here's more on Belize from my (ANNE) point of view.  All thoughts are random, and I'm drinking a beer as typing so I apologize for errors.

MAKEUP - haven't opened my makeup bag since I've been here.

HAIR - a mess!  Brian has described it as "beachy".  I've only combed it 3x since I've been here, and we've been here 10 days.  I think I was actually starting to grow some kind of crazy red dreadlocks in the back of my hair.  Where are my Aveda friends when I need them?

FOOD - good thing we packed a suitcase of food, because it costs a ton here.  Many people asked me if I'd miss cooking, and then funny thing is that Brian has been making many of the dinners!  He bought fish from a fisherman the first week, so he's been cooking that for a few dinners.  As for lunch, most days we have $1 tacos in town at the food stand.  They are FANTASTIC!

PICA PICA - it SUCKS!  Believe me, you don't ever want it.  It itches like a son of a bitch, and looks very bad too.  I've scared many people at the hotel.

TV - I forgot to watch Lost last night as we were in town at the famous chicken drop, where you place bets on a numbered square.  then you wait for the chicken to take a crap and if it goes on your number you win.  For that I missed Lost!  Can you believe it?

CLOTHING - we don't wear any!  we get up in the morning, put on swimsuits, and that's what we wear until about 5p.  then around 5p we shower and put on real clothing.

Things I wish we would have brought along - Gatorade powder, a block of Velveeta cheese.

Things I wish I would not have brought along - so many tshirts (never wear them)

One question people have asked us is "What do you do all day", so I'll address that.  We have 2 kinds of days - Diving days and Non-diving days.

DIVING DAYS - we got up around 6:30am and made breakfast.  At 7am Regis and Kelly would start, so we'd watch that and put sunscreen on.  Shortly after 8am we'd bike to town to the diveshop and we'd get our gear ready.  By 9am we'd be on the boat heading to the divesite.  We'd do two dives, and be done by around 12:30pm.  After that we'd clean up our gear and bike to the taco stand for $1 tacos and Fanta.  Then we'd bike home and sit on the beach for the rest of the afternoon.  Around 5pm we'd shower, get dressed, and make dinner.

NON-DIVING DAYS - Pretty much the same as a diving day, but without the diving.  We'd wake up whenever we felt like it, make breakfast, watch Regis and Kelly, and apply sunscreen.  After that we'd head to the beach for the morning, have lunch at the room, and head back to the beach in the afternoon.  Some days we'd actually do other things like bike around the island or do laundry, or get groceries, one day we sailed.
