I am embarrassed to say that I took very few pictures in Elk Grove. This was the first time we'd visited that the girls were out of school and I spent every possible moment just being with them instead of lining them up for photos. So I borrowed some great pictures from other people to pad my photo log. I don't think you'll mind. All the photos are from July and August of this year.

I went to soccer practice, played a game called Dino something with Katie, Jessie and sometimes Rachel. We looked at Katie's new bedroom with its "House Beautiful" paint job and bedding to match. Jayna showed me her room and one (1) of her shoes. I saw Katie's latest physics project - a kind of rolling crab/platform. Rachel danced not once, but twice to her "Celebration" musical birthday card. I even took Jessie and Katie with me to Toys R Us to help pick out a birthday gift for Jayna. Is that nuts, or what?

Tuesday, Beth and I got pedicures and our nails done. Thursday, Scott and Beth had us over for a barbecue and homemade ice cream. While Roy, Scott, Beth and I ate inside with Jayna, the other girls joined Uncle Ralph on the patio.

The girls got in the "swimming" pool that night and I got some video that I cannot play on this log. Instead, I have chosen some photos to share of our California Girls. We hope you like them.

Friday, we went to Placerville to see my dad.  It was very quiet up there. We went to dinner at Dad's club Friday night with Bettie. (This is Cold Springs Country Club, site of Dad's Hole-in-One, a couple weeks ago.) My brother and sister-in-law joined us Saturday and we all had the best visit in years.
