Cordoba is a terrific place, with a very quaint old town, but also the usual assortment of modern fashion shops. The highlight is the Mezquita.
Cordoba is much less bustly that Granada or Malaga, but still very much a city. In fact wikipedia tells me ...."It has been estimated that Cordova, with up to 500,000 inhabitants in the tenth century, was the largest city in Western Europe and, perhaps, in the world."
