We made it! We parked in campsite #18 and setup camp. After getting the tent set up and some wood cut we went to go see the General Grant tree which was very beautiful at sun down. Here I learned that much of the trees fall because of soil erosion. the erosion is caused mainly by man kind. the roots of a giant sequoia, although large, only go as far as three to four feet deep.
