The Monument Valley: red and stunning! Highway 163 is famous for several movies. I think Forrest Gump was running on that highway... There is a dirt road guiding through the National Monument, which gives great looks at those impressive rock formations. Back on Highway 163, I headed North to drive to the (again) dirt road through the 'Valley of the Gods'. Also this is a very scenic drive and my camera was heavily used!
Das Monument Valley: rot und umwerfend! Der Highway 163 ist beruehmt durch eine viele Filme. So viel ich weiss, ist Forrest Gump mal hier gejoggt... Es fuehrt eine Dirtroad durch das National Monument, welche grossartige Aussichten auf die eindruecklichen Felsformationen bietet. Zurueck auf dem Highway 163 fuhr ich noerdlich zu einer (schon wieder) Dirtroad durch das 'Valley of the Gods'. Auch diese Strecke ist wunderschoen und ich habe meine Kamera stark genutzt!
