Seville
From Spain, Portugal, Morocco & UK in Seville, Spain on Aug 05 '08
After a long drive from Gibraltar, we arrived in the old town of Seville. Seville was a mix of nightlife and sightseeing.
The Alcazar gave us some great ideas for landscaping and decking for the house back in Austin. The Cathedral de Seville and Giralta were beautiful too.
Flamenco & Sightseeing
We stayed in the Bario , which offered a good selection of tapas restaurants and bars. No dinners started before 10, and drinking extended until late in the morning.
We also took in a Flamenco performance. The dancing was amazing, though Ian almost broke down laughing at the wailing tone of the accompanying vocalist.
We also noticed that with tourism come scammers. While virtually non-existent elsewhere in Spain, there were quite a few merchants and waiters trying to shortchange unsuspecting tourists.
